When the Cardinals (50-12) take on Gaston College (59-3) tonight at 7:45 in the NJCAA D1 World Series in Yuma, Ari., there will be an opportunity for another "first in program history" moments.
The Cardinals, in two previous trips, have never won a game in the event. They went 0-2 in both 2013 and 2021.

With a win tonight against Gaston College, the Cardinal would have Tuesday off and play at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. A loss today, would put them in a 1:15 p.m. consolation bracket game, also on Wednesday.
